Looking at the system components you will see on the left, the Italica CI 1900 comes with a keyboard, mouse and touchscreen monitor loaded with the Italica Solution proprietary software. This model of the CI 1900 shown here is with the rack handler for sample management, introducing and removing racks with samples and QC and calibration materials moving right to the middle of the analyzer. On the left are the two immunoassay sample tip drawers. Each immunoassay sample tip drawer contains a tip tray in use and one in storage. Next to the immunoassay tip drawers, we have two refrigerated compartments for immunoassay reagents. The left is the Italica Immunoassay primary reagent pack compartment. The right is the second refrigerated compartment for ancillary reagents. Above the top right side of the ancillary reagent compartment is the Italica Immunoassay cuvette bin which holds 1500 disposable cuvettes. Lastly, the middle compartment, highlighted in teal is the load and unload reagent access for the Dual Well Italica Chemistry reagent packs. The top tier area shows the front loading door for access to the IMT sensor and lysing agent when opened. The bottom half of the system holds the system fluids for IMT chemistry and immunoassay testing, plus the solid waste bins for the immunoassay single use disposable pipette tips and cuvettes. IMT fluids are found in the left cabinet door. The centre door holds the chemistry and immunoassay system fluids. The right door contains access to the two biohazard bins. One bin is used for disposable sample tips and the other bin will capture used immunoassay cubat. The rack handler accommodates 60 samples on the input lane and 60 on the output lane. At the back of the lanes are the rack shuttle and enhance camera for barcode identification. The rack positioner will then place the sample racks in line with the chemistry, dilution or immunoassay sampling probes. Both routine and STAT priority samples are processed directly on the rack handler for STAT processing. The rack handler shown on the right in the Gray box has a third slot always reserved for a STAT rack, ensuring aspiration of STAT samples within 60 seconds. Now let's look closely at the chemistry and immunoassay loading areas. For Chemistry, there are 70 chemistry reagent positions accommodating for both single and dual reagent kits. Up to four reagent packs can be loaded or unloaded automatically at a time during system processing or in standby or ready modes. The Italica Chemistry Reagent pack onboard stability has been increased up to six months for immunoassay. There are two refrigerated compartments for immunoassay reagents with an onboard stability of up to four months. The left reagent compartment holds 20 primary reagent packs. The right compartment also holds 20 ancillary reagents. The immunoassay reagent compartments do not require humidity packs and use misters to control humidity, ensuring quality assay performance. Like the chemistry, both immunoassay reagent compartments are loaded on the fly reagent packs, which can be loaded or unloaded during system processing or in standby in ready mode. The user interface is integrated throughout the system can track all reagent test volumes, onboard stability and calibration status of all reagents. And remember, the Italica CI 1900 is planned to offer the same menu as the Italica Solution Flagship Analyzer. Before we wrap up, here is an outline of the maintenance requirements for the Italica CI 1900. Majority of maintenance activities for the Italica CI 1900 are automated and require no operator intervention to initiate. The system will perform daily and weekly maintenance activities, including auto checks, during a time that is convenient for the lab when the system is not processing. Database maintenance is performed by the system at the Lops optimal time and when the system is also not processing. Daily operator maintenance takes less than 5 minutes and is integrated into the user interface to transition the instrument and automatically document completed maintenance tasks. Weekly operator maintenance takes less than 4 minutes and is also integrated in the user interface for instrument transitions and documentation. In addition, there have been significant improvements to develop proactive and clearer messaging in the rare event of maintenance failures once resolved. For example, if a consumable is depleted during maintenance, once replenished the system will only retry any non completed activities.
