In this video, you will learn how to position a patient for a head examination. The head neck coil consists of the following components lever for release, upper and lower part. Before performing the examination, register the patient, fill in the required data, and select the program. The Select and Go display provides you further guidance for the different steps of positioning the patient. First, position the posterior part of the coil into the patient table. For this, use the slide connect rails. Ensure that the coil is correctly plugged in. Place the pad in the lower part of the coil. Pull the lever to release and remove the anterior part of the coil. Help the patient to get on the patient table and provide instructions on positioning and examination. Position the head of the patient in the posterior part of the coil. Ensure that the shoulders touch the coil base. Place the head as high as possible to enable the best positioning for a head examination. Lock the anterior part of the coil and if necessary, attach the mirror. If your patient needs more space inside the coil, you can remove the posture cushion. Position additional comfort pads under the elbows and legs to increase the patient's comfort during examination. Check again that you position the patient safely and provide the alarm ball. Finally, position the table into the bore at ISO center by using the Select and Go automatic positioning or the manual mode from the touch panel. When you use select and go always ensure to start from table in home position.
