NAEOTOM Alpha VA50 Update Training - Spectral Imaging Video
Coming up in this video, we cover the new Spectral Imaging features in VA50.
Welcome to the Neatham Alpha Software V A50 update training for the new features of spectral imaging. Coming up in this training, we will cover the new spectral imaging features in V A50. The uhr, or High res ultra quantum plus scan modes have been available on the Neoton alpha since the beginning. Now new with the V A50 software version, the scan mode High Res ultra Quantum Plus allows you to obtain spectral reconstructions from a Uhr acquisition. Previously this was not possible and all reconstructions had to be at 3D Recon. This new feature is particularly interesting for the combination and fusion of high res lung images with perfusion maps or of high res bone images with bone marrow edema maps. High Res ultra quantum plus scans utilize the 120 by 0.2 millimeters collimation and the higher KV settings of 120 or 140. To better understand this feature, let's first discuss what a high resolution reconstruction is. A high res reconstruction is any reconstruction with a 0.2 millimeter slice thickness. Or any kernel sharpness above 76 and up to a 98. All high res reconstructions needing those parameters will continue to be at 3D Recon. Spectral reconstructions are not possible with high res parameters. Now that we know what a high res reconstruction is, let's discuss spectral reconstructions. Spectral reconstructions, inline results, multi energy ranges and SPP datasets are now available in a high res ultra quantum plus scan mode. They can be used for further dual energy workflows. The requirement for all spectral recons is a standard resolution reconstruction that contains. Slice thicknesses of oh .4 millimeters or larger. And the kernel sharpness of 76 and below. If these two Recon parameters are met, then spectral reconstructions are now possible. With VA52, additional dual energy application classes are available. Liver VBNC without fat maps and kidney stones are now ready for use in the application class for multi energy ranges. These two new dual energy workflows can also be utilized in the single via VB70 software.
