NAEOTOM Alpha VA50 Update Training - Neuro & Perfusion Imaging Video - USA

Coming up in this video, we cover the new neuro imaging and perfusion imaging features of the VA50 software version.

Welcome to the neo Tom Alpha Software V A50 update training for neuro and perfusion imaging. Coming up in this training, we will cover the new neuroimaging and perfusion imaging features. With V A50 Flex 4D spiral is now available on the Neoton Alpha. The Flex 4D Spiral acquisition mode allows for true volumetric perfusion imaging beyond the detector width. Utilizing the table shuttle scanning method with the back end 4th movements, it can be used for neuro perfusion imaging as well As for body perfusion and also for dynamic angiography examinations. All protocols with the Flex 4D Spiral scan mode are spotlighted below. Now that the flex 4D spiral scan mode has been added in the V A50 software, full brain perfusion imaging is available. The brain perfusion protocol has a maximum coverage of 11 centimeters at a pitch of 0.5 and the cycle time is 1.5 seconds. Smaller scan ranges reduce the cycle time automatically, but do not affect the overall scan time of the examination. Apply the brain perfusion prolonged protocol if you use a third party post processing software that requires longer scan times. For neuro perfusion processing in single CT neural perfusion, a new computation template is available as default. It will provide neuro perfusion results according to up-to-date ASA guidelines. Hint this new template is a default for the neotoma alpha V A50 software version along with the single via VB70 software. You may still customize these computations if desired. Next are the brain dynamic and the brain and neck dynamic CTA protocols. These protocols have a pitch of 1.0 and a maximum coverage of 42 centimeters with a cycle time of 2.5 seconds. The difference between these two protocols are the organ characteristics. You can have brain or neck depending on which protocol is used. The organ characteristic is used for adequate dose calculations and reporting. The routine protocols have quantum plus scan modes. While the alternative protocols will use the quantum scan modes. Moving on to the liver perfusion protocol. This protocol with a pitch of 1.0 has a maximum coverage of 25 centimeters and a cycle time of 1.8 seconds. The liver perfusion protocol uses the quantum scan mode with 90KV or 70KV. Now for the thorax dynamic protocol. This protocol, also with a pitch of 1.0, has a Max coverage of 25 centimeters and a cycle time of 1.8 seconds. Here though, the thorax dynamic protocol uses the quantum plus scan mode with 120KV or 140KV settings. Now for the thorax dynamic CTA protocol. This protocol with a pitch of 1.5 has a maximum coverage of 81 centimeters with a cycle time of three seconds. Again, the routine protocols use quantum plus scan modes, and the alternative protocols use the quantum scan modes. Finally, the extremity dynamic CTA protocol. This protocol also has a pitch of 1.5, a maximum coverage of 81 centimeters, and a cycle time of three seconds. Again, the routine protocols use quantum plus scan modes, and the alternative protocols use the quantum scan modes. Like in other some areas 10 scanners, you can easily modify the exposure pattern in all perfusion or dynamic scans. In the scan parameters, under the timing tab, select the exposure pattern drop down. Here you can uncheck the cycles that you do not wish to have radiated. These unchecked cycles will be displayed in the timeline as a grayed out cycle.
