NAEOTOM Alpha VA50 Update Training - FAST / CARE Technologies Video
Coming up in this video, we cover the improvements to FAST and CARE Technologies as available with VA50.
Welcome to the new Atom Alpha Software V A50 update, training for the fast and care technologies. Coming up in this training, we will cover the improvements to fast and care technologies as compared to VA 40. Coming new in V A50 is the addition of the 70KV setting. This new setting will be available in all quantum scan modes. This low KV scan mode will be mainly relevant for neuro perfusion imaging examinations of neonates and pediatric patients, as well As for lowest dose and geographies. Please note that this 70KV level does not provide full spectral information. However, Monoenergetic plus reconstructions of limited Kev levels are still possible. For an example in brain perfusion imaging, this new 70KV setting is used by default. This is done to keep the dose as low as reasonably achievable. Here you can see an example of an adult thorax alternative protocol. This protocol uses the quantum scan mode. Now it provides the option to select the 70KV setting. Again, this new 70KV setting is available in all protocols with the quantum scan modes. All of the child routine protocols available in the system utilize the quantum scan modes by default. This means that for the smallest pediatric and neonatal patients, you can now use the lowest dose setting of 70KV. All scan modes that can be combined with quantum are available at 70KV, such as Ultra, High Res and flash scan modes. All protocols that have the quantum scan modes now have the care Kev minimum set to the new 70KV setting. This setting will be the default in the exam designer after the upgrade to V A50. Care Kev will now automatically select the 70KV setting depending on the patient size and the clinical tasks selected in the care Ke VI optimized for setting. The next new feature released in the V A50 software update is the introduction of the child alternative protocols. In the exam designer, these new protocols are hidden by default. To be able to use these protocols, you must select the desired protocols, then click on the unhide button. This will make them available in the protocol selection for use. The new child alternative protocols contain the quantum plus scan modes. Remember that the quantum plus scan modes utilize the higher KVP settings. All scan modes that can be combined with quantum Plus are available, such as Ultra High Res and Flash scan modes. You can now use these new child alternative protocols to scan with full spectral imaging and reconstructions for pediatric cases. The full range of spectral reconstructions are available. You can also use the multi energy de parallel or radial ranges and SPP reconstructions for further dual energy workflows. With the V A-40 service pack one upgrade, the 140 KV setting had been introduced in all quantum plus scan modes, but it was only available in manual KV selection. In V A50 we have updated the minimum and maximum KV levels for all quantum plus scan modes in the exam designer to reflect this change. With quantum plus care, Kev will now automatically select the 140 KV setting depending on the patient size and the clinical tasks selected in the care KV optimized for setting.
